Navigate Learner Orientation*
The Applicant confirms that the information in this form is accurate and complete, that the Applicant has the legal right to enroll the student in Navigate (NIDES), and that the Applicant understands that no materials will be forwarded until fees and deposits (where applicable) are paid; that work required will be completed and returned as directed; and that enrollment remains valid for one year.*
The Applicant confirms the legal guardian, student, and home facilitator’s commitments to working together with Navigate (NIDES) in completing the coursework agreed to by all parties during the normal academic calendar. Working together is defined by consistent and regular activity in the program of study; weekly submissions of student work in each course of study, and continuous communication with Navigate (NIDES) teachers on a weekly basis.*
The Applicant understands that if the student becomes inactive in a course and fails to respond to reports and communications from the Navigate teacher, he/she may be withdrawn from the course.*
The applicant agrees that Navigate-NIDES online services and resources are only to be used for educational and lawful purposes.*
The Applicant hereby authorizes the release of all previous records to Navigate (NIDES), and authorizes Navigate (NIDES) to report to schools, school districts, or post-secondary institutions where records exist.*
The Applicant declares that the student and legal guardian are ordinarily resident in British Columbia, and if traveling outside of the province of BC, the Applicant will inform the registrar (registrar@nides.bc.ca) in writing of their intended return date to British Columbia.*
The Applicant and student declare that they are not currently taking any of the courses listed at any other school, nor will they be taking any of these courses at another school while I am actively enrolled in these courses at Navigate* (i.e. No “Double dipping” – Ministry of Education)*
